Volunteering in the Dominican
Republic
In January 2004 Ocean Optical owner
Cheryl Collins Aparo and Dr. Charlene
Glynn, the optometrist who shares the
Ocean Optical office, traveled to the
Dominican Republic to volunteer their skills
for those in need of eye care. They brought
2,000 pair of eyeglasses and performed
over 300 eye examinations for the poverty
stricken community of Cevicos.
